Rebecca and Steve live in Kenya, but decided to seal the deal in wine country at Viansa Winery in Sonoma. Known for their tasty Italian style wines and lovely views, Viansa Winery was a beautiful backdrop for the wedding. Viansa Winery is also conveniently located close to San Francisco in Napa County. Our bride was busy getting ready in one of the wine caves while our groom patiently waited to see her before the wedding.
Our happy couple spent some time together before the ceremony taking a couple of pictures – and stealing a couple of kisses…
The future Mr. and Mrs. really liked the kissing part (did I mention that?).
But, then it was time to tie the knot, and Rebecca was happily walked down the aisle by her mom and dad. Well – the bride looked pretty happy, too! The wedding was in the courtyard surrounded by lots of sculptures and lots of friends and family. There were even rose petals scattered about to add to the lovely atmosphere.
Our happy couple was married by one of the most interesting priests I’ve met yet. Sean O’Laoire is a Roman Catholic priest that doesn’t spout out the typical wedding ceremony. Nope, this guy makes a wedding really special and you can’t complain about his crusty Irish accent, either.
The ceremony went without a hitch and then our happy couple was married! The newlyweds snuck off for a bit while their guests mingled and enjoyed some Viansa wine.
Back at the winery, the tent was all ready for the guests and the tables were set for dinner. The new Mrs. added her own personal touches to the decorations with hand packed bags of Kenyan coffee for guests to enjoy on a later date. For someone that planned her wedding from 7,000 miles away, the details were superb!
All that was left was for the newlyweds to have their first dance, dinner to be enjoyed, and then some drinking and dancing to be had!
Congratulations, Rebecca and Steve!
